Highland Medical Aesthetics was started in November 2022 by Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, Sara Courtney who combined her complementary medical background in emergency medicine and plastic into her love of aesthetic medicine.
We offer an array of non-invasive treatments including Botox, Dermal Filler, Hydrafacial, Morpheus8, and more.
In addition, we offer skin care treatments such as dermaplaning, facials, microneedling (SkinPen), chemical peels and platelet-rich plasma treatments for skin regeneration. We offer ZO Skin Health for daily, medical grade skincare.

Founder/Nurse Practitioner
Sara is a multi-state, dual-board certified nurse practitioner with formal, hands-on training in basic and advanced toxin and dermal filler procedures, skin care and laser therapy. She received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Miss, Bachelor’s in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women, and her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Her medical background is diverse, including plastic surgery, emergency medicine, critical care and urgent care. Sara serves in the Air National Guard as a flight nurse, enhancing her assessment skills and problem-solving in difficult situations. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Kayla graduated from the Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics in Clinton, Mississippi in 2014 and later expanded her education through the Institute of Advanced Medical Aesthetics in Ashland, Virginia, where she completed her Master Aesthetician training. She is certified in ZO Skin Health, Colorescience, and SkinPen microneedling, and is passionate about building personalized treatment plans that deliver long-term results.
Some of her favorite products to recommend include SIV Biome Balancing Serum, Plated Skin Science, and Colorescience mineral SPF to support resilient, healthy skin.
Outside of the clinic, Kayla enjoys music, dancing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. When she’s not with family, you’ll likely find her watching Bravo TV or listening to podcasts.

Originally from Brandon, MS, Jayme is a graduate of the Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics, Cosmetology and Nails, where she completed her training in October 2025. With a lifelong passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful, she naturally found her calling in the field of aesthetics. Jayme is dedicated to enhancing her clients' natural beauty while creating a welcoming and uplifting experience for everyone she works with. She believes skincare is not just about appearance, but about feeling your absolute best. Jayme's favorite products include the Colorescience Blush Balms and ZO's Complexion Clearing Masque. Outside of the treatment room, she enjoys traveling with friends, staying active, shopping, and spending time with her beloved fur baby, Gia.
